Meet the Mexican Redknee, the first spider you'll come across in Real Scary Spiders.

As you care for your spider you'll unlock fascinating facts and information about the spiders habitat, temperament, place of origin and much, much more. Here is a sneak peek at some of the information featured in the game.

Their natural habitat is in tropical rainforest areas with trees that lose their leaves during colder months (deciduous). They carve deep burrows into soil banks which protects them from predators and offers cover to ambush passing prey. They have been known to use abandoned burrows of other creatures such as rodents and lizards rather than spend time creating their own.

Mexican Red Knee tarantulas are only slightly venomous to humans and are considered extremely easy to manage (docile). Although, like all North/South American and Australasian tarantula, they will kick irritating (urticating) hairs into the air from their abdomens and back legs if disturbed.
